We got up late and managed to get to the only showing of the day of the Harry Potter film. Both really enjoyed it, and it was much better than I was expecting - lighter than the book was and a lot more fun. Of course we then came out into the almost summer sunshine - really nice and warm. We decided against lunch and went for a walk in the meadows instead, exploring a new section that we hadn't been to before. Really peaceful - cows mooing in the background, the heat warm on our heads and very peaceful.
We had to dash over to my father later in the day - there was a scare over his blood sugar level, and Rick and Caroline came down - they'd originally been going to come to us, but diverted there instead. We sat and did very little, waiting for a specialist team to arrive to check his BS level, but he'd got confused and thought they'd be there for 7, but that was when the night team started. We were both shattered, so came home, got a pizza and sat doing nothing. Turns out to have been a false alarm.
Monday I had to get up early and go and do a Web 2.0 presentation at the ILIG meeting at the British Library. It was really hard to get through - no idea how well or badly I managed it. Got Jill a copy of the first series of Tenko and left it hidden under her book. Sat there all afternoon, then later she picked her book up and still didn't see it! I had to point it out a little later. Didn't watch any yet since we saw QI, HIGNIFY and a few other bits of television in between doing a codewords puzzle or two.
