Excite which is a search engine that I have little, if any time for, has launched a start/home page option. It's a direct rip off of Netvibes and Pageflakes. Main difference is that the RSS feeds seem to be pretty much limited to Excite, though it looks as though there is an option to add your own. As for the modules available we have emails, notepad, horoscope and weather. And that's it. How this engine keeps going defeats me.
SiteShuffle. A start page system, and one that lets you scroll through the links/pages/sites that are of interest to you. Good if you have a list of favourite websites you like to visit every day.
ItsAStart.com - Your Entry Point to the Internet!. Does what you'd expect.
Jaxtop - home of the web desktop. The web desktop manages your photos, bookmarks, news and other online content right from your computer desktop without the hassles of downloads or plugins! Using Microsoft Windows built-in Active Desktop feature, Jaxtop lets you create, organize and publish content directly from your background. Jaxtop also works in most web browsers.
In an increasingly competitive area we now have Mygetgo - custom home & start pages.
Funky Homepage. It's a start page that seems to work on a cookie/IP basis, so it's fine for one machine, but maybe not so good if you're on the move. However, not bad for what it does, though I'll be sticking with Pageflakes.
Nowsy.com - your news and info dashboard. Another start page like Pageflakes or Netvibes. Didn't personally like the interface, but worth trying if you don't like what's out there already.
Link: My Webwag. It's another start page with widgets and bits and bobs. Looks like several others, so I'd take issue with the 'unique place' description they've given themselves. Thanks to lo-fi librarian for this and some others!
ItsAStart.com - Your Entry Point to the Internet!. Links, weather, RSS feeds etc.
