It doesn't get any easier than this. Just type in the name of the last book (or whatever) into What Should I Read Next? and it pops back with half a dozen or so suggestions. Slightly limited at the moment with only 47,000 titles, but I tried several titles and was very impressed with what was suggested. If you like it, you can register to get more precise results.

There's also a Film and Music version as well called 'This one next' which works in the same way and also looks pretty accurate as well.

Booksprouts

Booksprouts. is a site that allows you to join or create bookclubs, share discussions, swop books, invite your friends and so on. It's got to fight with LibraryThing however, and while it's a nice idea it's very chicken and egg, as so many of these things are. Nicely put together though and attractive. Would be useful if you have a group of people already, such as a school group and you could then create a closed group without much problem.

This is really getting stupid now - you can maybe get away with having a couple of these resources, but does anyone think that yet another of these is going to make the grade? I thought it was stupid enough when Bookjetty turned up, but this is nuts.
