    Google updates.

From the Friends of Google newsletter - a few new interesting things. They finally appear to have fixed the search by date function (only taken them about a year by my reckoning) so you now have 8 search options here.

They've played around with Google Books which I'll be looking at in detail later.

There is a new and improved Google Moon with better resolution and data from NASA.

You can now easily find out the time in different places. Simply input the word time followed by a city such as time berlin and this tells you the time in the German city and the two in America. You can also input 'time' by itself to tell you what the time is where you are right now. This doesn't work if you add in any other search terms, so good time berlin acts as a normal search.

Google documents has been updated to allow for real time presentation and live chat about a document.

If you need to keep up to date with video alerts, Google will deliver 'interesting and relevant videos to your email inbox daily, weekly or as they happen. Just go to the Alerts option and Big G will take care of the rest.

All useful stuff, nothing earth shattering, but good to know. Google is obviously very keen that we should know about it, because the same message was repeated 23 times in the email they sent me!
