    Internet Librarian International 2007

I gave the closing keynote at the Internet Librarian International 2007 conference on the subject of "Facing the challenge of Web 2.0 as a Disruptive Technology' and people seemed to like it. It's over at Slideshare if you want to take a look, but I've also enclosed a copy below. It doesn't format brilliantly, but it'll give you a flavour.

    Hi Phil,
I just got here from the featured blogs on typepad. I wish I would have been here sooner. I work for Yedda (http://yedda.com), a knowledge platform based on Q&A.

I liked how you defined web 2.0 and library 2.0 in your presentation. Our goal is literally to make the process of finding knowledge easier by simply connecting people who know to people who ask questions on our site, on partner sites or via widgets for bloggers like yourself.

From my vantage point in the front row of the room, I thought it was a terrific closing to the conference, with lots of things for us to think about, not least the "push back" librarians get from their management when they want to implement 2.0 services and technologies.

    Great job, Phil
