    ChaCha launches new mobile initiative

ChaCha. is one of the human powered search engines that employs 'guides' to help users find information. They've just launched a new mobile service that allows people to text questions directly to them for answers. It's currently available as a free trial. It's a nice idea because it allows any phone to act as a conduit between user and information, rather than requiring them to have a smart phone. And because the question is texted to a 'real' person it's not necessary to worry about syntax and so on. I'm taking a stab in the dark that it's US only - if you want to try it you can text your question to 242242 and see if you get an answer! If you do, let me know.
