Top 10 Obscure Google Search Tricks

Lifehacker gives us Top 10 Obscure Google Search Tricks. Most of them actually aren't that obscure - certainly if you read this weblog on a regular basis you'll know about most of them, but one or two caught my eye. It's worth reading the entire article, but here's the basics:

Local time - search for what time is it in London
Flight tracking - just enter a flight number, such as BA123
Convert currencies etc with 10 US dollars in Australian money
Compare items with "better than" and "reminds me of"
Google as a free proxy to see the pages blocked by your firewall with the Google cache
Remove affiliate links with -site:ebay.com -site:bizrate.com and so on. Alternatively, try Give me back my Google which strips out the links for you.
Find related terms with the tilde ~ symbol, which finds similar words. Try it with ~automobile and see what you get.
Find music and comic books. This is an indepth search which  you probably won't be interested in, and I'm not typing out, so visit the article for this one!
ID objects in foreign languages by searching for images (This is a great one - never thought of it myself!)
Make Google recognise faces in images by adding &imgtype=face to the end of the search string
