BBC NEWS | Business | YouTube cuts 30,000 illegal clips. Well, it didn't take long for the cull to start really did it? The service has deleted the clips at the request of Japanese media companies who said their copyright was being infringed. Which is very fair and good and proper. What interests me is the sheer technical difficulty of doing this though - that's quite a lot of data. Did YouTube take their word? Did they sit and watch each one in turn? How long has this taken? Enquiring minds wanna know...
