Google update frequency

Well, here's an interesting thing. I wanted to check one of the entries in Google's UK Zeitgeist list for 2006 and stupidly I couldn't remember the URL. So, logically I went to Google and tried to find it. My search string was zeitgeist uk 2006 which resulted in the Google UK press centre page. I was a bit puzzled to see a listing dated February 2006 for the UK and then listings for other countries below that.
I was then even more suprised when I checked at the bottom of the page - last updated 25th January 2006? What's going on there then? Clearly it's been updated since then (hence the February data) but not since. Has someone at Google lost the page? Did someone leave and their replacement was never told that updating the page was in their job description?
All the more puzzling since this is the time of year that people pay attention to this, so you'd think someone at Google would actually have done a search or two to see what results came out and spotted this, but clearly not.
Looks like a problem with Google UK, they have Nov 2006 info at http://www.google.com/press/intl-zeitgeist.html#uk
Looks like everyone was doing their Christmas shopping!
