I'm thinking this is Yahoo!'s contribution: http://underground.yahoo.com/

No, seriously, a guy named George Washington **did** invent instant coffee, we didn't make it up. It's 100% bonafide true.

The Sloof Lirpa Center has put out a (funny) warning on Google AdSense code too:

Well, I doff my cap to you then regarding the instant coffee one - bravo!

Greg - I'm not entirely sure it is an AFJ, I think this might be along the Gmail lines. I certainly know a lot about science fiction conventions and this one looks pretty good to me, and there are such things as filkers as well.

And it looks as though Matt Cutts weblog could have been hacked after all - but whatever, it's still the same many hours later, so maybe the jokes on me after all!

The About Inventors site also credits George Washington with inventing instant coffee, but obviously it's a different GW that the USA's 1st prez: http://inventors.about.com/od/cstartinventions/a/coffee.htm

It also looks like Wikipedia simply repeats the info from the About site.
