Library & Information Update blog. The latest issue is now available, and Matthew Mezey is inviting comment, suggestions and so on. You can comment if you're not a member of CILIP as well by the way, which is very welcome. The magazine is available online, but you can only see the ToC if you're not a member, which is fair enough.
Many thanks for mentioning this Phil :-)
The issue also contains a nice feature article by a certain... Phil Bradley - asking whether Twitter is a superb resource or a flash in the pan (p. 34).
Do add your thoughts on Phil's article to our blog here:

Other topics in the issue include things like:
• A £50m legal outsourcing deal which could hasten disappearance of the in-house information service (p. 4).
• CILIP's Chief Executive Bob McKee and Marion Huckle on 'Modern professionalism – a mix of knowledge, skills and ethics' (p. 19)
• Overcoming 'immunity to change' in library leaders and organisations (p. 15).
• Knowledge Management (KM) – in widespread use in organisations, yet still still performing poorly, in a survey of the world's top 25 management tools (p.17).
... which I blogged here:
http://communities.cilip.org.uk/blogs/update/archive/2009/03/18/km-disappoints-again-survey-of-top-25-management-tools.aspx
And...
• 'The Entrepreneurial Library' conference - how new collaborative partnerships, management styles and services can combat today's situation, where libraries are no longer considered one of life's necessities by many people (p.47).
• Annabel Colley on 'Developing strategic roles in government', post-Information Matters (p.40).
Hmmmm... I hope plonking this partial contents listing here isn't veering too close to spam...!
Cheers,
Matthew Mezey
