ECCELLIO. is very simple - it allows you to search the web via Google.com and limit your search to various facets such as medicine, social networks, timeframes, country, domain or file type. It seems to do the job well enough, though I can't really see that it's going to be that much use for most people. Thanks to AltSearchEngines for this one.
