I'm not entirely sure that I'd call this a search engine, but it's interesting nonetheless. Findthebest allows you to compare stuff. That 'stuff' could be tablet computers, infant mortality rates (how 'the best' is calculated there is a little weird, I grant), best physics constants and so on. You get a nice little matrix to go through, but it is American biased as you can see:
You also have to accept their word for what is 'the best'. However, if you're after some quick and easy comparisions, this is worth a quick peek.

thanks for noting the discrepancy. I updated the 1966 World Cup to include England (& not the UK) as the champion.
