Our very own Chris Armstrong has written what looks to be a very interesting title: The 2011 Guide to Free or Nearly-Free e-Books. It's available from Lulu publishing, which is an interesting point itself. I quote from the blurb: "The 2011 Guide to Free or Nearly-Free e-Books is offered as a tool for
librarians and others involved in book selection (e.g. teachers in
schools) in all sectors – school, further and higher education, public
and special libraries – to facilitate easy access to free e-books and
e-book collections which can enhance their digital library."
It seems somewhat churlish to mention the fact that it's priced at £29.50, but I do so with an amused sense of irony which Chris is aware of, so that makes it ok. :)
[As an aside - I have not been paid for this post, (in fact I don't get paid for any posts in this blog) nor have I got a copy of the book, but do have an association with UKeIG and Chris is a good friend. Just saying :)]
