Thank you for the guide. Searching by filetype is very useful when you know the information resides only in that format. I've used it a lot combined with the site operator to locate information in a particular format within a particular website.

Bing, kind of, outlines the formats they support on their search blog here http://www.bing.com/community/site_blogs/b/search/archive/2005/06/24/432439.aspx (It is quite old & was originally for MSN).
