I was very pleased and honoured to be asked to keynote a session at the Library 2.014 Conference which is now in its fourth year. This free conference is a virtual and global event with a wide variety of expert speakers, covering a really wide range of subjects. You can catch up with the conference on Twitter with the hashtag #lib2014 and the schedule of events is at http://www.library20.com/page/library-2-0-schedule-gmt-1-1 but please note that if you're not in the UK the timings will be out.
I was talking to Steve Hargadon who is one of the organisers and he said that there wasn't usually very much participation from the UK, which I think is a real shame. Certainly in the session that I ran most of the delegates came from the US, central Europe or New Zealand. So if you have some time to spare, do check out the remaining sessions and drop in - it's running in Blackboard Collaborate which means you may need to download/install software if you don't have it already. Otherwise, just go for it. It doesn't matter if you missed a presentation, since you can always catch up later - they are being videoed and will be put up onto YouTube.
