Need to find a company logo for some reason? Of course, you can go directly to their website, but it can then be a pain actually getting a copy and downloading it. This is where Instant Logo Search comes into play. Simply type in the company or organisation that you're interested in, and download the resulting displayed logo.
That's the theory of the thing anyway. Search works on character matching, so you start typing and you see the resulting logos appearing, or disappearing off the screen. This leads to slightly weird experiences - I thought I would see if Nestle has a logo available... as I was typing I got the PhillipiNE Stock exchange coming up. Lots of logos that I had expected to find were not there (levis, esso, BP, NATO...) but some were, especially if they were internet related.
This doesn't mean that you can then just go off and use the logos however... the small print makes it very clear indeed. "Before you use or reproduce this artwork in any manner, you agree to obtain the express permission of the copyright and/or trademark holder. Failure to obtain such permission is a violation of international copyright and trademark laws subject to specific financial and criminal penalties."
However, a quick and dirty search tool granted. But I still think I'll just go to a search engine, type in the company name, then limit to images and take it from there. In summary, it's answering a question that no-one is really asking.
